A Review On Car Trim Home’s 24-Piece Non-Slip (& Anti-Dust) Pads for the 5th Gen 4Runner – Center Console Liner Mats, Door Pocket Liners

So at this point, you’re probably grappling with which mod to tackle next… Long travel? Body mount relocation? Long Range America auxiliary gas tank? What about a 24-piece interior rubber non-slip pad set by Car Trim Home?!

Likely to be one of your cheaper mods, Car Trim Home (CTH) recently released everything the interior of your 4Runner needs for easy cleaning and anti-slip protection.

If you are looking to add a little more detail to the inside of your 4Runner, these interior liners, cup holder liners, door liner rubber mats, and more… are a good option. These rubber liners are a precise fit for just about every compartment within the 4Runner. There is no installation process, you just set them down. The ones pictured here have TRD badging on them but you can get them without any lettering.

The all-weather rubber material can withstand heat up to around 170 degrees so if you spill even boiling hot water on these rubber mats, they will be fine. Adding these rubber liners to the interior of your 4Runner will add a little more protection to your cup holders, door pockets, and all other surface areas in your rig.

(Fits all 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 Toyota 4Runner models including trim levels: SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, TRD Pro, Trail, and Limited with 4WD or 2WD.

These Toyota 4Runner specific rubber mat liners have a unique 3D texture that catches spills with a unique double raised edge. If you find yourself spilling your morning coffee on the way to work often, these console and cup holder liners are definitely going to add a bit of protection so that nasty coffee or any other liquid doesn’t build up in the crevices of your center console. Even if you do spill your coffee, a soda, or another beverage while out on the trail, is 3D textured rubber liners are easy to clean off.

Anti-Slip? Anti-Dust? Both.

Each pad is designed to fit into just about crevasse your 4Runner has. From the cup holders to the door pockets, the rubber mats quite literally just slide into place (I’m not sure how we could get an “installation” article). With that said, if you like puzzles, you’ll enjoy this kit.

While most of the pieces are self-explanatory, some are not as straightforward, such as:

  • Most of the door panel pieces have an inverted replicated pad for the opposite side.
  • The center console offers two cup holders pads, but not for the rear seat cup holders.
  • Another pad sits right above the head unit.
  • The cargo area offers pads for the spots above the wheel tubs.

Form & Function

The purpose of these mats serves both form and function.

Each pad simply sits in place, and because of its undercoating, it shouldn’t leave any stains, nor should it move. This also helps with your routing interior cleaning. Simply remove the pads (which can serve as dust collectors), hand wash in the sink and once dry, throw them back into place.

If you’ve ever had a drink leak out into your cup holder or door panel, these simple pads make the cleanup process much easier. For roughly $30 to keep your interior not only stylish but in tip-top shape, it’s likely going to be money well spent!
