Why I Chose WoodGaiter

Plastic storage bins help contain the mess, but have a predefined geometrical space and not quite ideal for irregular sized items like chopped wood. Bins also cannot collapse down when empty, taking up valuable space inside the vehicle.

Canvas bags are another great option but are still limited to the size and how much you can fit through the zippered mouth of the bag itself. Zippers can also be a fail point, which could break or get stuck after abuse.

The WoodGaiter’s design is simple; the open roll concept is great for irregular pieces of wood, either expanding or contracting with the amount of wood stored. While it’s made for the pre-cut “boxed” wood you can pick up at most any store, leaving the paracord ends opened, allow you to wrap around longer pieces of wood as well.

Ease of Use

Unroll the WoodGaiter, place your wood inside the mat, then roll up the ends. Snap the clips, pull tight on the webbing and then cinch down the ends.

Kindling Bag

The inner kindling bag perfectly also fits commonly sourced bagged kindling sizes. It has the ability to cinch down and is velcro-backed for easy removal from the WoodGaiter.

Storage

The exterior also includes two small Velcro pockets for storing the excess length of the paracord when cinching down.

Transporation

For strapping down, or carrying, there are 3 loopholes around the exterior of the WoodGaiter.

The thick webbing strap is comfortable to hold and carry when loaded. Each end has a large carry strap allowing you to carry even with the bag open, to move your wood load around camp.

Utilizing the straps, the WoodGaiter can also be stored and transported to an external mounting surface as well such as a roof rack.

Well, not quite a bag.

I honestly have been waiting for a product like this for a long time, I have been sick and tired of storing wood inside the vehicle. As a product, it checks all my boxes, it’s multi-purpose, minimalistic, durable and made in the USA.
