After a long day of adventuring, it’s an awesome way to kick back and relax and hardly takes up any space in your cargo area since you’re already using the pieces for another application and you carry a couple extras.

About BamBeds
Based out of California, this small business strives to produce sleeping and leveling platforms for various vehicle makes and models. They use the highest quality materials such as Baltic Birch or sustainable bamboo, which are both super strong. If you manage to break one of their boards, they’ll send out a replacement.
Features
The two feet comprise several precise cutouts where you insert the platform boards. There are also two small support brackets that when combined with said cutouts, provide very secure fitment. I only wish there was a way to secure the board that functions as the backrest because if you rock the couch too aggressively with no one sitting, it can fall over.
Assembly requires no tools and takes only a couple of minutes. I found it a little cumbersome to do this on my own, but hopefully being a multi-person couch, you’ll have a second set of hands to help.
The design of the feet looks pretty crazy and must be tedious to cut. I’m unsure how they came up with it, but it works flawlessly.
Small Modifications
Since these legs are still made of wood, I wanted to protect them from the ground they would be resting on. Having a few hundred pounds of human rocking back and forth on wood over rocky surfaces didn’t seem good for their longevity. So, I added adhesive-backed rubber strips on the bottom to protect the wood for years to come.
I also use my Rollercam straps to help secure the whole system. They work great and make everything extra sturdy.
Final Thoughts
I’m stoked that BamBeds thought of this product and brought it to life. In my opinion, it adds versatility and value to their leveling platform. I hate the cheap folding camp chairs and while they have their place, I don’t like sitting up straight or slouching in front of a campfire.
We don’t only use this while camping, either. Our kid loves sitting on this bench at home and during the summer, I had no problem setting this up in the yard for everyone to use.
Would I buy a whole leveling platform just to use this rocking couch set? Probably not. If you already have that though, this is an awesome addition worth checking out to get the most out of your setup.
