10 Must-See Off-Road and Overland Products In 2024

This year, I had the incredible chance to attend Overland Expo PNW in Redmond, OR, and it was an adventure to remember.

For those unfamiliar, the Overland Expo is a massive event celebrating all things off-road and overlanding. You will find hundreds of top brands gathered in one place to showcase their latest and greatest products, giving you the perfect opportunity to see them firsthand. It’s not just about the products, though—you’ll meet amazing people, see some awesome rigs, and immerse yourself in the community.

Here are 10 new products that we found at this year’s Expo!

1. Yakima MOD Storage Drawers

Yakima MOD Storage Drawers

Of all the products I’ll be featuring, this is one of my favorites. Yakima just released its new MOD drawer system, which is fully customizable. You can choose what drawers to incorporate into your setup and how you want them to connect.

The best part is that this system does not require drilling or a gear plate! It is attached to the factory D-rings in your trunk and can be easily removed and stored away when you need extra cargo space.

2. MESO Customs Key Fobs

MESO Customs Key Fobs

Of course, we had to stop by to say hi to one of our favorite brands, MESO Customs! When we spoke with the team, they showed us their new line-up of key fob covers for the 3rd Gen Tundra and Sequoia. There were also color-matched covers to some of Toyota’s most popular colors.

3. Tune Outdoor Tune M1

Tune Outdoor Tune M1

One of the coolest campers we saw at the Overland Expo was the Tune Outdoor Tune M1. At first glance, it may look like any other camper on the market, but when you look up close, you’ll see its unique features.

As you can see above, they have a unique winged design on either side of the camper that provides additional space. Another cool feature of these campers is that they come standard with T-track rails for additional mounting points, making them incredibly versatile campers for those looking to live off-grid.

4. ARB 3rd Gen Tundra Front Bumper (Unreleased)

We also stopped by the ARB booth to talk to their team. They showed us a few of their new products, including their newest upcoming front bumper for the 3rd Gen Tundra.

5. ARB Ditch Lights

Another new product that the ARB team showed us was their new ditch lights. I liked how sleek they looked on the Tundra.

6. Luno AIR+FOAM PRO Camping Mattress

Luno AIR+FOAM PRO Camping Mattress

If you are big into car camping, you should check out Luno. They have many options for those seeking an uncompromising car camp setup.

Their new AIR+FOAM mattress was very comfortable. It was durable, supportive, and soft. Overall, it is an excellent option for those looking for a quality mattress for their car or tent.

7. Midland GXT3000

Midland GXT3000

We had to stop by the Midland booth and check out their new radios. Midland is one of the biggest names in the off-road communication market. They come in a variety of styles that can fit your needs.

The Midland GXT3000 GMRS Two-Way Radios are an upgrade to the GXT1000VP4 Two-Way Radios. They feature a bigger screen and a longer-lasting battery. This upgrade also offers rapid charge via USB-C and group mode.

8. Midland GXT67 PRO

Midland GXT67 PRO

If you want something with more transmission power, the new GXT GMRS 5-Watt Two-Way Radio is the one to get. One of the most significant changes is that you can charge your radio directly from the 12V accessory outlet.

This radio also provides more channels, up to 99 GMRS/FRS, and has upgraded waterproofing technology.

9. Torklift International Truck Bed Tie Downs

Torklift International Truck Bed Tie Downs

Finally, we stopped by Torklift International, a local Seattle company we hadn’t heard of. They showed us a few of their products, including this new tie-down mechanism.

As someone always looking for functional and easily removable upgrades, I found these tie-downs pretty cool. They pop up when you need a tie-down point, then twist them down when you no longer need them so they sit flush with the rest of the bed.

These are a great alternative to the factory ones in the Tacoma bed!

10. Torklift International Truck Bed Step Bracket

Torklift International Truck Bed Step Bracket

We also had a chance to check out Torklift’s new bed step bracket. This can be a great accessory for those with children or pets staying in their bed camper.

Testing this setup, it made a massive difference in getting in and out of the truck bed. If you are interested in this setup, the steps are a separate purchase and can be folded up when unused. Also, the bracket isn’t too noticeable but must be bolted onto the tailgate.

Final Thoughts

74Weld Booth at Overland Expo PNW

As you can imagine, this was not even close to all the newest gear at the Expo. I would love to see what others found or purchased at Expo, so feel free to share your experience below!

For those who haven’t been yet and still have the opportunity to go, it’s a great event with so much to see and do – I highly recommend attending next year!
