Picked mine up at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff. Used them a few days later in sand outside Douglas, AZ in the middle of no where and by myself. Excellent. Hardly a mark on them.

First off this was a great article and my questions following are in no way a dig on you. That being said, The big question is why choose this over the other big name brands? MaxTrax and ARB are around the same price range and have been on all the big overland builds on instagram. What makes these better than those or even pitted up against Rhino USA or any of the other entry level priced boards? This are the questions I really want to know before dropping $200-$600 on recovery boards that may or may not have mounts that will work with my TRD pro roof rack
Hey Jay, one of the main reasons is the Dupont compound out of which these are made which is really flexible and soft to the touch. Check the stress test videos on their IG where these were abused with fire trucks and showed no sign of fatigue. The second reason was the ease of replacement of broken tooths after use over time with standard grade 8 hardware from the big box stores!
I agree There are lots of Reputable brands like arb and MaxTrax And Rhino usa that are all in the same high end price range and not alot of Recovery boards Mount easily on Toyotas of any kind
Made in the USA was my choice.
actionTrax use a completely different material that performs much better in cold temps, sharp rocks, and under heavy vehicles. This material is more expensive and performs accordingly. That and subtle design changes such as larger hand holds, easy linking capability, teeth that are repairable with off-the-shelf US hardware, , 100% made in America, and a serrated end are the differences.

The matraxx pin holes are the same width as ActionTrax, on purpose. You can use mounting methods as you would the MaxTraxx

Gzila also has a cheaper option to mount boards to a stock trd rack 1.75” clamp. You’d just have to source the pins from Amazon for $65 and bobs your uncle. They also make a hilift mount clamp that fits the trd and fj rack
